Burn bans announced across Lincoln County fire districts

LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has announced burn bans across several fire districts in the county.

Burn bans are already in place for Districts 3, 7, 8 and 9, as well as areas under the Bureau of Land Management.

Starting July 1, District 1 will also implement a burn ban, according to the LCSO. While Districts 4 and 5 have not yet announced bans, they are expected to do so within the next two weeks.

On National Park Service land within the county, fires are currently allowed in approved fire pits, but a complete burn ban will take effect on July 3 as a result of dry conditions.

The LCSO urged the public to stay informed on burn ban updates, as local conditions might lead to changes. Residents can contact dispatch at 509-725-3501 for the latest information.
