SMELTERVILLE, Idaho – The ongoing cleanup at the Bunker Hill Superfund site is set to be showcased to the public later this year.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) along with local agencies is hosting a site tour on August 27. The tour will begin at the Panhandle Health District office in Kellogg.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear from experts and receive updates on the efforts to remove toxic metals from the Coeur d’Alene Basin.
This event is a part of a five-year review process. Residents are also encouraged to share their concerns directly with the EPA.
