WENATCHEE, Wash. – A new addition to the playground at Lincoln Elementary will soon serve as a tribute to the Decker sisters and a source of support for students.
A buddy bench will be installed to honor the three Decker girls. The bench is intended to help children who may be feeling lonely or isolated, when a child sits on it, it sends a silent signal that they’re looking for a friend, encouraging others to join them.
Construction of the bench is expected to begin during the upcoming school year.
The three sisters were murdered in Chelan County. Police are still searching for their father, Travis Decker, who is the main suspect in the case.
