COLBERT, Wash. – Spokane County Fire District #4 crews responded to a brush fire on the 1400 block of West Pinto Rd.
Assistant Fire Marshal David LaChapelle provided an update on the fire situation. There are currently no evacuation orders in place, according to LaChapelle, and no structures are under threat from the fire at this time.
Fire crews are focusing on establishing containment lines. Heavy smoke is blowing eastward from the fire. Firefighting units from Districts D#4 and D#9 are present at the scene.
Residents are advised to stay clear of the area to allow emergency responders to work efficiently.
