BOZEMAN, Mont. – For the first time ever, MSU and UM are set to face each other in the post-season semifinals on the road to Nashville, sparking conversations online about what a second Brawl of the Wild matchup should be called.

NonStop Local went out on the street in Bozeman to ask locals for their thoughts.

Nicole Hoover, a current MSU student, said her family is full of really big Bobcat fans and they go to every game they can. They are looking forward to another UM-MSU matchup.

“It’s such a fun game the first time around. So, to get it twice in one year is really fun,” she said. “I don’t know, it’s — the championship game is on the line, so I think Brawl for It All is a really good one. I think the Cats have a lot of heart and I think they’re ready to go and beat the Griz again.”

Abigail Howard came up with her own name for the game: Treasure State Tussle.

Mary Pat Harris, co-owner of Bozeman Spirits Distillery (the maker of Bobcat Gold Bourbon) said she is a Bobcat through and through and has had the same seats at Bobcat Stadium since 1983.

It’s exciting, but nerve-wracking at the same time. We’ve already got the W up there on the Cat-Griz this year, but we are home and we are super excited and behind our team,” she said. “I didn’t have a huge preference, but I’m just calling it the Cat-Griz 2.0 Here We Go. And we’re going to do it again.”
