NEW YORK CITY – Bowen Yang is set to leave “Saturday Night Live” during his eighth season on the show.
His final appearance will be on the upcoming Saturday episode. The episode will feature his “Wicked” co-star Ariana Grande as the host and Cher as the musical guest.
Yang joined “SNL” as a writer in 2018 for season 44 and was later promoted to the main cast starting with season 47.
This departure follows a wave of exits by several cast members ahead of the 51st season.
