SPOKANE, Wash. – The Boulevard Race and First Interstate Bank donated $40,000 to the Anna Schindler Foundation of Spokane last week to build affordable housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families.

“The need for affordable housing access has never been greater,” the Boulevard Race wrote on social media. “Developing housing solutions and lodging options is helping families improve access to quality cancer treatment care, mitigating the economic impact of cancer, and improving outcomes for patients.”

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Member Impact Fund Award also contributed to the donation.

The funds will directly support the construction of four new “Anna’s Homes” near Providence Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital.
