SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane fire and police crews recovered a body found in the Spokane River under the T.J. Meenach Bridge on Sunday.
According to a Spokane police officer at the scene, the body was recovered around 2 p.m. The Spokane Fire Department said crews were initially called for a water rescue to recover a body, according to the officer, had been in the water for some time.
It is unknown at this time what caused the death or when it occurred.

SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Fire Department crews are on scene for a water rescue under the TJ Meenach Bridge in Spokane.
