SPOKANE — Outdoor enthusiasts will find their paradise this weekend as the Big Horn Adventure Show takes over the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center.
The 64th annual event returns with activities and vendors designed to appeal to every member of the family. The show runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The Inland Northwest Wildlife Council hosts the annual gathering. The volunteer-driven organization works to promote conservation and protect natural habitats throughout the region.
“Once people can see what the outdoors is actually about, it reconnects them to see what conservation is,” said Melannie Jones, executive director of the INWC. “It is one thing to have conservation on piece of paper. It is another thing to actually see it on paper.”
Organizers designed the event to engage people of all ages. Children can try their hand at archery or experience catching their own fish through hands-on demonstrations and activities.
The event serves as both entertainment and education, connecting visitors with the natural world around them. The INWC uses the show as a fundraiser and inspire attendees to become stewards of the environment.
Admission tickets range from $10 to $18, depending on age and day of attendance. Children under 5 receive free admission to the event, and on Sunday all kids under 13 receive free admission.
