GEORGE, Wash. – The Columbia River Drug Task Force (CRDTF) and Grant County’s Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET) joined forces at the Beyond Wonderland concert series at the Gorge, targeting illegal drug activity.
Chief Ryan Moody reported that the operation resulted in 10 criminal cases and eight arrests for drug delivery and possession with intent to deliver. Multiple dangerous narcotics were removed from circulation, including 89 grams of cocaine and 15 grams of fentanyl.
The task force also seized approximately $2,000 in cash, three vehicles, and significant quantities of other illegal substances.
Sheriff Mike Morrison highlighted the importance of cross-agency partnerships. “The problems of one community do not stay isolated and what affects one county often spills into the next,” he said.
This joint effort emphasized the importance of resource pooling and collective enforcement strategies to combat drug trafficking and prevent overdoses at public events.
