Idaho State Police (ISP) are investigating a deadly collision that occurred on Highway 95 in Benewah County, south of Plummer.
The incident happened around 10:24 a.m., near milepost 394, according to the ISP.
Authorities stated that a white 2013 Ford Fusion was traveling southbound on Highway 95 when the driver lost control and the car moved off the road before colliding with a tree.
The ISP shared that the driver was a 17-year-old female from Plummer, Idaho. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred, according to the ISP’s report. Alcohol has been ruled out as a factor in the collision.
ISP are continuing to investigate the incident.
