Barry Manilow says he will reschedule his January shows after a “cancerous spot” was found on his left lung.
Manilow will undergo surgery after the finding.
The 82-year-old singer-songwriter said that he recently had bronchitis for two periods of multiple weeks, so his doctor ordered an MRI out of precaution.
He says he is taking tests to confirm the diagnosis but that the early detection prevented him from needing treatment like chemotherapy.
