Nearly 200,000 “Farm to Table” model kitchens for kids are being recalled due to a strangulation hazard. The recall affects products sold online through Amazon, KidKraft and Walmart from 2018 through July 2025.
The recall comes after a report that children’s clothing could get caught on the hooks designed for kitchen accessories like pots and pans. Tragically, one death due to asphyxiation has been reported.
Backyard Kids, the company behind the product, has voluntarily agreed to provide free replacement hooks for the affected models.
Owners are advised to immediately stop using the kitchens and remove the hooks. They should contact Backyard Kids to receive the free replacements.
