SPOKANE, Wash. – Less than a month ago, Avista Stadium’s concessions stand was destroyed in a fire caused by an equipment malfunction.
With baseball season now over, officials are determined to have the stand ready for the next season.
Otto Klein, Senior Vice President of Spokane Indians Baseball, emphasized their goal for the upcoming season.
“Our goal would always be to have food ready so that everyone can have hot dogs by opening day. That would be the best,” Klein said .
Documents from Spokane Parks and Recreation estimate that the rebuilding process will be completed by March of next year.
If the stand is not ready by the target date, Spokane Indians Baseball is considering a temporary solution to ensure fans can enjoy concessions.
