The Friends of the Idaho Panhandle Avalanche Center has issued a warning about current avalanche conditions. According to a recent report, the avalanche danger ratings are now equal.
The center highlighted that today’s moderate rating is just a half step away from being considerable. It emphasized the presence of a complex snowpack structure beneath the fresh snow. This structure includes several weak layers that are primed for human and machine triggering.
The center advised that making conservative terrain choices is essential to avoid triggering a large and dangerous avalanche.
