Athletes tackle water, road and trails in Coeur d’Alene triathlon

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The 41st annual Coeur d’Alene Triathlon, Duathlon and Sprint took place on Saturday, drawing athletes to compete in a day filled with challenging events.

Olympic-distance swimmers began the day by jumping from a cruise boat into the bay. Shortly after, sprint racers launched from City Park Beach.

Cyclists then navigated along the lakeshore, facing a steep climb. Runners completed the course on the scenic Centennial Trail. The event concluded at Triathlon Village near City Beach, where friends and family celebrated the athletes’ achievements.
