
CLARKSTON, Wash. – The Asotin County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance in an animal cruelty investigation following the discovery of an injured puppy on January 12.
Deputies responded to the 9100 block of Peola Road where they found the puppy, which had been shot multiple times with a BB gun.
The animal was taken to Riverview Veterinary Clinic for treatment of BB and pellet injuries, as well as strangulation-related injuries.
Veterinarians expect the puppy to recover, although one pellet lodged in its head cannot be safely removed.
The case is being actively investigated as animal cruelty.
