NEW YORK, N.Y. – An appeals court has dismissed the verdict in a $500 million dollar civil fraud penalty against President Donald Trump and his businesses for exaggerating the value of his properties.
Some judges on the panel believed the original verdict was accurate, but chose to dismiss the case over concerns that the fine was excessive.
The panel took nearly 11 months to reach a decision.
