POST FALLS, Idaho – An alligator sighting in the Spokane River near Kiwanis Park had social media buzzing, with many speculating it was a dead pet.
The sighting was reported to 911, raising concerns in the community.
However, Post Falls Police credited Avista Utilities for solving the mystery.
Avista discovered the shell of an alligator decoration or decoy at the Post Falls dam this morning.
