All areas under Level 2 and Level 3 evacuation orders have been downgraded due to progress on the Aubrey Fire.
According to the Spokane County Emergency Management evacuation map, Level 3 evacuations have been lifted for Indian Bluff Road, West Rim Lane, Equestrian Lane, and portions of Riverside State Park in that area, including the area between the Spokane River and Old Trails Road, from Marchand Road to Seven Mile Road.
Meanwhile, areas south of the VA hospital and west of Assembly Street, as well as the area between the Spokane River and Nine Mile Road, north of the VA hospital and south of Seven Mile Road, have been downgraded to Level 1.
UPDATE 4:51 P.M.
Some areas previously under Level 3 evacuation orders have been downgraded to Level 2. This includes the area between the Spokane River and Nine Mile Road, north of the VA hospital and south of Seven Mile Road.
UPDATE 4:38 P.M.
According to a spokesperson for the Washington Department of Natural Resources, forward progression of the Aubrey Fire has been slowed and the fire remains at around 50 acres.
The agency said no structures have been damaged and a wet line has been established around the fire.
UPDATE 4:24 P.M.
An evacuation center has been set up for people affected by the Aubrey Fire.
According to Spokane County Emergency Management, the Red Cross is opening a temporary evacuation shelter at Salk Middle School, located at 6411 North Alberta Street, for those evacuating from the Equestrian/Aubrey wildfire.
The shelter will open at 5 p.m.
UPDATE 3:39 P.M.
Level 3 evacuations (Go Now) have been extended to the area between the Spokane River and Old Trails Road, from Marchand Road to Seven Mile Road, including the area north of the VA hospital and south of Seven Mile Road.
UPDATE 3:14 P.M.
Level 2 evacuations (Be Set) have been issued for residents living south of the VA hospital and west of Assembly Street. Authorities urge residents to be prepared to leave at a moment’s notice.

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Level 3 (Go Now) evacuations have been issued for a brush fire burning near Riverside State Park in Spokane.
According to the Washington Department of Natural Resources, the fire is estimated at 5 to 10 acres. Both air and ground crews are actively attacking the blaze.
Level 3 evacuation orders are in effect for Indian Bluff Road, West Rim Lane, Equestrian Lane and areas of Riverside State Park in the immediate vicinity.
Level 3 means “Go Now.” Residents are in immediate danger. Even if the threat isn’t visible, authorities urge people to follow their evacuation plans and leave without delay. Staying could put lives at risk, and rescue efforts may not be possible.
