WASHINGTON – Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air grounded all flights Sunday night following a “system-wide” IT outage, as reported by our partners at Kiro 7.
The outage led to a temporary ground stop being requested for both carriers to allow time for teams to restore their systems.
“At approximately 8 p.m. Pacific on Sunday, Alaska Airlines experienced an IT outage that’s impacting our operations,” Alaska Airlines stated.
The airline apologized for the inconvenience and warned of “residual impacts” throughout the night.
