SPOKANE, Wash. – The winners of the Air Race Classic, the world’s largest all-female aviation race, landed at Felts Field.
More than 60 teams competed this year, including the Spokane-based Sky Queens.
The race required participants to fly 2,400 miles from Alabama to Felts Field, only during daylight hours. Teams began the journey on June 17.
Although the Felts Field Sky Queens did not win, they are expected to finish soon, despite some engine issues.
