Air Force 2 in air as Butte airspace shut down for VIP movement

BUTTE, Mont. – Flight logs indicated that Air Force 2 took off from Joint Base Andrews Tuesday afternoon.

Air Force 2 had no posted destination. Early Monday an Airforce plane identified as “Teddy31,” landed at the Bert Mooney Airport, that aircraft is still parked at the edge of the runway.

Early this week the FAA put out an air closure in Butte and near Dillion for “VIP activity.”

NonStop Local has reached out to The White House and has not heard back.

Just last week the Vice President was supposed to stop in Missoula for a visit to a church but the visit never took place.

NonStop Local has a reporter at the airport.
