
COLFAX, Wash. – The Whitman County Department of Emergency Management, alongside local school districts and emergency services, will conduct an active shooter mass casualty training exercise at Colfax High School on Wednesday, June 18.
The exercise will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will involve emergency vehicles and personnel in uniform, providing realistic training for all participants, the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office announced in a release.
Residents and visitors will be asked to watch out for potential traffic disruptions near Colfax High School. Alternate routes around Colfax High School and Jennings Elementary will be clearly marked on the day of the event, the release added.
