Accused child rapist pleads guilty in Spokane County Court

SPOKANE, Wash. — A man accused of repeatedly raping a child and frequently molesting another has submitted a plea of guilty to the Spokane County Court.

John Minor, 44, never appeared for his arraignment in 2024, and during his first appearance on May 28 of that year, the prosecutor confirmed he had been tracked down in the Philippines. There, Minor was arrested and extradited to Spokane.

Minor faces seven counts of first-degree rape of a child, two counts of second-degree rape of a child, four counts of first-degree child molestation, three counts of second-degree child molestation, two counts of indecent liberties and five counts of lewd conduct.

According to court documents, the Spokane Valley Court accepted Minor’s guilty plea and has set his sentencing hearing for July 11, 2025.
