DETROIT – NonStop Local’s Cory Howard went on a harrowing search for a Robocop statue on Thursday. Miraculously, he found a perfect recreation of the iconic original suit which has yet to be moved to its final home.
The idea for the statue started over a decade ago, and has yet to be installed due to the expensive nature of placing a large installation in a public area.
Gonzaga fans in the Motor City over the weekend for the NCAA Tournament won’t be able to see the statue, but hopefully the iconic 80’s character is able to be appreciated by the public in his home city soon.
