75-year-old Clarkston man life flighted after swerving for a deer, crashing on State Route 195 near Rosalia

ROSALIA, Wash. – A 75-year old man crashed on State Route 195 south of Rosalia early this morning after swerving to avoid a deer in the road, Washington State Patrol said.

The incident occurred around 2:46 a.m.

The man, who police identified as a Clarkston resident, was heading northbound approaching milepost 58 when a deer ran into the roadway. He swerved, went through the guardrail and his car rolled before stopping in an embankment.

He was life flighted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. His condition is unknown.

Washington State Patrol stated that no drugs or alcohol were involved, and he was wearing a seatbelt.
