MOSES LAKE, Wash. — A 73-year-old man was killed after being hit by a car while crossing Highway 171 in Moses Lake.
According to a news release from the Washington State Patrol (WSP), on Friday at around 9:30 p.m., a car was traveling south on Highway 171 at Schneirla Street when Alejo Gonzalez, 73, attempted to cross the road outside of a crosswalk and was struck.
WSP said Gonzalez died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation, and no charges or arrests have been made.
