68-year-old arrested for drug possession in Kooskia

KOOSKIA, Idaho – An Idaho County deputy made an arrest on July 25, after observing suspicious driving behavior while on an Office of Highway Safety patrol.

The deputy noticed a vehicle traveling on the centerline at 7:53 p.m. in the Kooskia area. K9 Millie was deployed, and her alert led to a search of the vehicle. Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found during the search.

Marvin Mendenhall, 68, was subsequently arrested. He faces charges including felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, misdemeanor resisting and obstructing, in addition to misdemeanor concealment of evidence.

The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office shared this information to keep the public informed about recent activities. They emphasized that all accused individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The listed charges reflect allegations at the time of arrest.
