Spokane County, WASH. — SCRAPS says its animal control officers were called to a Spokane home regarding a large number of dogs on Monday. They say the resident would not provide them access, but did admit they had ‘too many dogs’ and voluntarily surrendered 37 small mixed-breed dogs. An investigation is underway.
SCRAPS says fortunately, none of them have obvious medical concerns. Its rescue partner, Spokanimal, took 16 of them to their shelter.
As of this morning, all of the surrendered puppies and dogs at SCRAPS have been spayed/neutered and are available for adoption.
Its adoption hours are Monday-Saturday from noon to 5:00 p.m. at 6815 E. Trent in Spokane Valley.
