25-year-old McCall man arrested for threatening person in Riggins

RIGGINS, Idaho – Idaho County deputies arrested a 25-year-old man in Riggins for threatening to hurt someone and slashing their tires.

Idaho County Dispatch received a call around 2:38 a.m. by the person who said they were threatened. The caller said the suspect told them he was on his way to their location.

The Idaho County Sheriff’s office said it sent a deputy to the location when it received another report that the suspect had arrived at the location and had slashed the tires of a car at the scene.

Before deputies arrived at the scene, the suspect had left, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office worked with Idaho Fish and Game and Idaho State Police and eventually found the suspect.

They arrested the 25-year-old suspect, a McCall resident, for felony malicious injury to property, misdemeanor theft, misdemeanor possession of marijuanna and paraphernalia.

“This arrest demonstrates our commitment to emergency response and community safety,” the Idaho County Sheriff’s office wrote in its announcement about the arrest.
