
LOON LAKE, Wash. – A deadly crash involving three cars on SR395 near Loon Lake resulted in two deaths and two injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash occurred on June 15, around 4 p.m. near Sunset Bay, south of Loon Lake. The Washington State Patrol reported that drugs or alcohol were involved, and the cause is still under investigation.
Amber Calicoat, 43, passed Joseph Brown on the right shoulder, sideswiping his car and causing both vehicles to cross into the southbound lane. Calicoat struck another car traveling southbound, while Brown left the roadway and hit a tree.
Calicoat was found dead at the scene and was not wearing a seatbelt. Brown was injured along with two passengers in his car and were transported to Sacred Heart. He was also not wearing a seatbelt, and charges are pending.
Abigail Hill, 21, the driver of the southbound car, was dead at the scene and was wearing a seatbelt.
