SPOKANE, Wash. – On November 17, 2015, a historic windstorm blew through Spokane and the Inland Northwest. Trees fell, crushing houses and cars, there were widespread power outages and 2 deaths.

A decade later, a lot has changed—but residents still remember the effects of the devastating storm.

Some residents along Manito Boulevard recall one house which was damaged by a fallen tree, and had to be completely rebuilt from the studs.

Although homes and lives were changed by the windstorm, locals remember the way the community rallied together in support of each other rather than the heartbreaking effects.

Tune in to NonStop Local tonight, November 17, 2025, for a 10-year retrospective on the event.
