COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — One person is dead and four others are injured after a structure fire early Tuesday in Kootenai County, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.
Fire crews and sheriff’s deputies responded around 7:15 a.m. to the 3000 block of North 15th Street, near Coeur d’Alene, where they found a pole building fully engulfed in flames.
Authorities said a family had been living in a recreational vehicle parked inside the structure.
Four people were found outside the building with moderate to severe burns and were treated by emergency crews. A fifth person, an adult woman, was found dead inside the structure.
The victims’ names have not been released. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office and fire marshals.
