Expect quiet conditions through Tuesday before rain and mountain snow arrive for midweek.
Plan Your Monday
It’s going to be a gorgeous day! Clear, dry air is moving in behind the rain we had on Sunday. Skies will be clear with highs in the 40s and 50s. Overnight temperatures will drop below freezing.
What We’re Tracking
It will be a frosty Tuesday morning for many, but the cooler conditions aren’t the biggest thing coming in our weather. A stronger weather system arrives on Wednesday, bringing widespread precipitation. Lowland areas will see more rain, but a few snowflakes are possible on Wednesday and Thursday mornings in our northern valleys and higher elevations in North Central Idaho. Mountain passes will see some slushy spring snow that will slow down travel for midweek.
Breezy conditions develop Thursday with gusts reaching 20 mph in the valleys and 40 mph along the ridges. After this system exits, a significant warming trend begins Friday, with temperatures climbing into the 60s and 70s by the weekend.
