
WINCHESTER, Idaho – A small plane crashed into a field north of Winchester, Idaho this afternoon, according to a release by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
First responders, including deputies from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, Winchester Fire Department, Winchester Quick Response, Nezperce Ambulance and Nez Perce Tribal Police, quickly arrived on the scene to assist.
The sheriff’s office said both individuals on board sustained minor injuries and were able to walk away from the crash site.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are now investigating the incident to determine the cause of the crash.
