SPOKANE, Wash. – A driver crashed into a Burlington store in Spokane’s Nevada Heights neighborhood Sunday morning after suffering a medical emergency, according to the Spokane Fire Department.
The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. near 5630 North Division Street, next to Trader Joe’s. A spokesperson at the scene said the driver experienced a medical issue before crashing into the building.
Fire officials said no one was inside the store at the time, as it is currently under construction and undergoing remodeling.
The driver was transported to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
